CAN YOU HELP (Y)OUR CLUB

After the extensive review of our rugby operations, one recommendation was that we adopt a refreshed Rugby Operations Team away from the traditional committee structure and engage people who have the expertise, willingness, and skills to refresh our club.

Our objective is to form a Rugby Operations Team headed by a Chairperson of Rugby.

The team would consist of up to eight members, each team member would co-ordinate their own area of responsibilities and report directly to the Chairperson in association with the Club Captain.

Specifically, we are seeking any club member or external volunteer to join the team and oversee:

1. Gear/Grounds

2. Administration/Financial

3. Social (Includes Netball/Juniors)

4. Cultural/Diversity/Inclusion/Well-being.

5. Players/Teams Representative

6. Communications/Social/Brand: possible in-season contract role

7. Junior Representative

The Club Captain and Head of Rugby will be a crucial part of the team.

If we can entice your help, it will spread everyone’s workload, time-wise it will not be a big commitment. The operations team will meet formally once a month for 9 months each year, obviously, the workload will be based around the rugby season plus preseason planning.

We are entering an exciting time with the club but really need your help.

HAVE YOUR SAY

A key finding from our Refresh Review is for the club to develop a clear vision and understand who we are, what are our community and our values.

This is a critical piece of work for the future of the club, we need your input and for you to have a say in our future.

We will research and collate this information firstly by holding a workshop with any interested club members: parents, volunteers, players past and present, juniors, women, and seniors…everyone, the more the better.

Topics:

· Review of the Review findings: open session, Q&A.

· What we're all about going forward - our rugby pathway?

· Workshop our values/DNA/Who are we, who do we want to be, are we relevant, our future

Date:

· Saturday 9 November

· 9 to 11.30am at the club.

· Food and refreshments served.

An online event invite will be posted next week to which you can respond.

Further details will be in our newsletters in the coming weeks, including an on-line survey link if you cannot make the workshop.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. WE urge you to attend and have your say on your club.
