Club Day Rescheduled - 17 May is locked in!

After last weekend’s cancellation due to severe weather and council ground closures, we’re pleased to confirm that Club Day has been rescheduled for Saturday 17 May — and we’re ready to kick off!

Starting from 9am until late, the day will be packed with rugby action, community spirit, and plenty to enjoy off the field as well. Food and drinks will be on sale all day, so bring your appetite and your team spirit!

We’ll be sharing more details about match times, activities, and entertainment in the lead-up, so make sure you're following our social pages to stay up to date.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there, cheering loud and proud!

Mental Health Talk – 27 May

We're proud to be hosting a Mental Health Talk on Tuesday 27 May at 7:30pm, straight after training. This important session is open to all players, coaches, and members of our CFC community.

The talk will run for around an hour and cover key topics including:

  • What mental health really is

  • Why it matters, both on and off the field

  • Common challenges athletes face

  • Factors that influence mental wellbeing

  • The impact on individual players and team culture

  • How we can foster a more supportive club environment

  • Practical strategies to manage and maintain mental wellness

The evening will end with an open discussion — a safe space to share, ask questions, and break the stigma together. Our speaker, Matt Vaughan, brings real-life experience and a down-to-earth approach, making it a valuable opportunity for everyone.

We’ll have food available and the bar will be open, so stick around and connect with your teammates off the field too.

Let’s keep building a strong, supportive CFC culture.

Become a Game-Day Volunteer – We Need You!

CFC is powered by more than just the players on the field — it’s the dedicated volunteers behind the scenes who help make every matchday run smoothly. As we head into another busy season, we’re calling on enthusiastic, reliable individuals to join our Game-Day Volunteer Team. There are plenty of ways to lend a hand, including:

  • Setting up the clubrooms

  • Liaising with visiting teams

  • Operating the scoreboard

  • Setting up the fields

  • Acting as Field Marshal (hi-vis vest provided!)

  • Coordinating parking

No experience? No worries. All you need is a positive attitude and a willingness to help out. Volunteering is a fantastic way to stay connected to the club, meet new faces, and contribute to the strong community spirit that makes CFC so special.

If you're keen to get involved — even if it’s just for a few games — we’d love to hear from you. Send us an email at admin@christchurchpark.co.nz.
