Will Jordan burst onto the international rugby scene in 2020, making his All Blacks debut against Australia in a closely contested 24–22 match. Despite the loss, Jordan’s potential was immediately evident. He returned from injury later that year to deliver a standout performance, scoring two tries in a commanding 38–0 win over Argentina.
Jordan’s rise continued in 2021, where he was named in the All Blacks squad for the Steinlager Series against Tonga and Fiji. In the opening match of the season, he delivered a historic performance, scoring five tries against Tonga in a 102–0 victory at Mount Smart Stadium. He followed this up with another hat-trick against the United States in a 104–14 win, further cementing his reputation as one of the most lethal finishers in world rugby.
As of 13 April 2025, Jordan boasts one of the highest strike rates in international rugby history, with 38 tries in just 41 test matches — placing him third all-time in terms of try-scoring efficiency.
His breakout year was recognised globally when he received the World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year Award in 2021.
Jordan continues to be a key figure in the All Blacks backline, known for his pace, vision, and clinical finishing ability.
